Fern Walsh

Fern Walsh – Owner & Lead Sports Therapist BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy | Acupuncture | Founder of Body Restore Therapy I’m Fern, the founder of Body Restore Therapy, and a fully qualified Sports Therapist with a strong passion for helping people move better, feel stronger, and recover well—whether they’re athletes or not. My journey in sports therapy began over 15 years ago. I studied Sports and Fitness Therapies at Craven College in Skipton, completing both Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications. I then went on to the University of Central Lancashire, graduating in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Therapy. During my studies, I gained hands-on experience at a variety of events and clubs including the Great North Run (with the RNLI), Football Aid, Bradford Bulls Rugby League, and the Bradford Dragons Basketball Team. These experiences shaped my understanding of how sports therapy supports both performance and recovery across different levels of sport. In 2014, I opened Body Restore Therapy to offer a range of treatments that go beyond just sports massage. Alongside my degree, I’m qualified in medical acupuncture, non-medical nutritional advice, bamboo massage, and myofascial Cupping. These additional skills allow me to tailor each treatment specifically to the individual in front of me—whether they’re managing an injury, dealing with day-to-day aches and pains, or working toward a fitness goal. I’m committed to continuous professional development and keep my skills and knowledge up to date every year, including learning new techniques. If there’s something you need that you don’t see offered—just ask! Outside of work, I’m happiest outdoors walking with my two dogs and taking time in nature. It’s my way of switching off and staying active between helping others do the same.
